Licensed by Big Daishowa, the Rego Plus line of dual-contact toolholders from Rego-Fix are said to be compatable with all Big Plus spindles and include a full line of ER and powRgrip system toolholders. When used with high-precision milling machines the Big Plus system improves TIR, tool rigidity, surface-finish quality and machining accuracy, the company says. The toolholders can be used with form B coolant and accommodate through-taper coolant.
Suited for the aerospace, automotive, medical and watch industries, the slim-nose powRgrip 6 (PG6) toolholder has a minimal OD of 0.4" (10 mm) and a clamping diameter ranging from 0.008" to 0.125" (0.2 to 3.175 mm). Its slim design provides less tool interference and enables it to machines tight pockets and increase productivity, the company says. The toolholder has a runout accuracy of less than 3 µm and is said to provide quick, simple and safe tool changes.
When paired with the company’s HSK 40 E holders, the PG6 is said to improve TIR and tool damping. It also eases presetting, increases tool life and increases clamping forces. Suited for high-speed machining applications, the toolholding system is available with a variety of tapers, including CAT, BT, HSK and TC versions.
A line of toolholder vises will also be on display. They use roller-bearing locking technology to securely grip the holder, the company says. The roller bearings act as a cam lock and tighten as the holder is rotated in either direction. These vises are suited for tightening or loosening a variety of tooling, including nuts, pull studs and arbors. In most cases, the holders can be placed in the vise upside down for mounting pull studs or coolant tubes.
