The Galileo KineMic from L.S. Starrett is an entry-level, modular, video-based inspection system designed for quality assurance, receiving inspection, training, manufacturing, assembly, research, documentation and a variety of other applications.
The base system includes a 6-1 magnification range with a programmable magnification range from 2× and 0.5× zoom with auxiliary lenses, and a microscope stand with coarse-fine focus control. For lighting, LED illumination is provided with a wired remote dimmer control. Transmitted illumination with a dual output illuminator is also available.
A high-resolution color video camera with 1/3” color CCD offers 768 × 494 resolution. The 15" monitor provides video magnification with programmable standard magnification range at 34× to 215× and a 13" monitor at 22× to 142×. Field of view is 0.360" low to 0.056" high.
A 2" × 2" X/Y stage with LCD micrometer heads and a digital crosshair generator is available as an option. It is also available with calibration standards.
