L. S. Starrett’s DataSure wireless data collection system features smaller, coolant-resistant end nodes and a user interface. The end nodes are said to offer a degree of resistance to coolant and dirt, and they have field-replaceable cables. Also, the end nodes are available for all of the electronic tools supported in the earlier version of the system.
The DataSure 2.0 software interface is said to be easy to install and is fully compatible with existing system installations. Unlike the previous version, it is not dependent on Internet Explorer. The interface features drag-and-drop tools for multiplexers and provides a fast response for measurements, the company says.
The software is compatible with Windows 2000, XP, XP Pro and Vista.
