Hainbuch says its centroteX quick-change workholding interface system enables change-over of any workholding device on a turning center within 5 min. or less while maintaining accuracies. The interface eliminates the need for an operator to indicate the workholding system during change-overs and decreases machine downtime.
A common flange plate is fitted to the machine spindle along with a bayonet mount on the draw tube. The subplate with chuck or fixture is mounted, rotated 15 degrees and locked via quick-connect fasteners. The system can be mounted on virtually any CNC machine and with most workholding or fixturing devices, the company says.
