Members of the global trade press attended a conference spotlighting advances made in the Studer, Schaudt and Mikrosa equipment lines over the past year, as well as future plans.

A professional archer gave a live demonstration of his skills, underscoring the precision of the Schaudt ShaftGrind and the Mikrosa Kronos series for machining transmission components.

The archer took two shots that easily found the center of the target, demonstrating the same repeatability as do the Mikrosa Kronos machines on centerless grinding applications.

Continuing the Olympian theme, two marksmen face off representing the older Studer CT960 universal internal cylindrical grinding machine and the new S131 radius grinding machine.

The Studer S131 radius grinding machine, featuring an above table swing diameter of 300 mm—250 mm for the S121, and 400 mm for the S141—for a maximum workpiece length of 300 mm.

The company’s new Flow-Assembly line began production in October of 2015, shaving lead times by a matter of weeks by performing all functions—including measurement and test grinding—without leaving the production line.
