CGS North America will demonstrate the latest version of its Elite CAD/CAM Software CAM-TOOL Version 9.1, highlighting its ability to machine a mold or die with minimal to no polishing. The Protruding Divide feature is now more automated and simpler to use, the company says. Space Ball can now be used within the program. An option to minimize retracts in Z-Level multi-tool roughing is said to speed roughing. Five-axis drilling has been added to simplify drilling in multiple workplanes on the same part.
The company will also display Version 3.1 of its CG CAM-TOOL add-in for Solidworks, designed to minimize handwork and polishing on electrodes, inserts, slide, lifters and core and cavity components by applying 3D and 2D toolpaths directly to Solidworks models.
