announces the return of Jim Miller as its director of sales and marketing for Chicago Extruded Metals (CXM), following Tramec’s acquisition of CXM’s operating assets from Berkshire Investments LLC November 2024.

According to the company, Miller’s previous experience with CXM was pivotal in building its reputation, and his return signifies a fresh start focused on restoring that legacy.

Miller’s journey with CXM began in 1989 when he joined the company’s extrusion department straight out of high school. Over the years, he grew his expertise in manufacturing, working in areas such as hot forming, cold drawing and managing key production departments.

As director of sales and marketing, Miller will focus on driving CXM’s growth by leveraging his industry knowledge and strong relationships. His leadership will reinforce CXM’s commitment to high-quality alloys, custom extrusions and customer service.

Since its acquisition by Tramec in November 2024, CXM has been undergoing strategic improvements aimed at enhancing its manufacturing capabilities. Founded in 1923, CXM has a history in the recycling of brass materials and providing products for industries such as automotive, aerospace and electronics. Tramec’s commitment to CXM includes key investments in manufacturing upgrades to enable greater production and delivery reliability.

“It’s great to have Jim back with CXM. His experience with the company and deep understanding of the industry make him an invaluable asset as we move forward under Tramec’s ownership,” says Mark Holm, chief commercial officer of Tramec LLC. “Jim’s leadership will be crucial in revitalizing CXM’s operations and reinforcing the commitment to customer service at CXM.”

“I am thrilled to return to CXM and contribute to the continuation of the company’s legacy,” Miller says. “We have an outstanding team here, and I’m confident that by focusing on customer relationships and technical support, we can provide unique, high-quality solutions for the precision machined components industry. I’m excited for the opportunities ahead.”

Under Miller’s leadership, CXM says it is committed to delivering top-notch service, quality and innovative solutions to meet the evolving needs of its customers.
