showcases its APSX-Nano Swiss CNC lathe, designed for precise, complex machining.
The APSX-Nano, which is designed for applications where space is at a premium, supports up to 13 tools, allowing for intricate and precise cuts that are well suited for aerospace, medical and micro-mold applications.
The APSX-Nano’s interface is said to simplify complex machining processes, while the machine’s control system provides efficient performance with minimal setup time.
Built with high-quality materials, the APSX-Nano is designed to withstand tough production environments. The rigid machine construction provides long-term reliability and precision, reducing maintenance costs and downtime.
Additionally, APSX-Nano is designed to operate with minimal environmental impact. Its energy-efficient components and reduced coolant use contribute to a smaller ecological footprint.
Machine specifications include:
- A machine base footprint of 31" (D) × 14" (W)
- An approximate weight of 150 lbs
- 120V standard wall outlet with proper grounding
- USB memory stick is used for loading g-code files on the control panel
- Adjustable mist (coolant) on the point of machining
- Hard anodized casting tool plate aluminum construction
- Polycarbonate safety shield
- Sliding cover to access barstock area
- PC, keyboard and pendant are included.
The Main servo motor (Teknic) spindle is capable of 1,800 rpm and 300 W. The machine features two 2,000-10,000 rpm pressured, air-chilled 500W live tool spindles with ER11 collets (1/4" and 1/8" two-flute end mills). It features three NEMA23 stepper motors with a rapid speed of 90 ipm on X, Y and Z axes. Stepper repeat accuracy at no load is ±0.0002", and achievable machining accuracy is less than 0.0005".
Compatible workpiece materials include aluminum, brass, bronze, delrin (acetal), peek, stainless steel, titanium and more.
The machine accepts standard bar diameter of 0.50", and a 0.50" guidebushing is included. Maximum bar diameter is 0.75" (0.75", 0.625", 0.375" and 0.25" guide bushings and couplings are sold separately). Preferred precision-ground bar diameter tolerance is -0.0005"-0".
