Energy Chain cable carriers are designed to house, protect and extend the service life of moving cables and hoses attached to automated machinery. According to the company, these reinforced plastic cable carriers can travel at high speeds, carry heavy loads and ensure the safe supply of energy, data and other media in a wide range of industries. The company has also extended into the robotics arena with the introduction of its multi-axis cable carrier, the Triflex R. This carrier was developed to protect moving cables and hoses on six-axis robots used in demanding industrial environments such as automotive production plants or welding applications. The cable management system is able to move multi-dimensionally through all axes and can twist 380 degrees per yard for movement through complex configurations. The tubular design permits the cable carrier to glide smoothly around the exterior of the robot.
